St Richard’s is of a modern Anglo-Catholic tradition.
Our Sunday Services are an 8 am Said Mass,
followed by the 10 am Sung Mass.
Mass is also held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 am
and Wednesdays at 7 pm. Please check our Parish
Newsletter ‘The Link’ for any alterations.
The Church is usually open during Monday to Friday
daytime for private prayer.
Toys and drawing materials are available for children on a carpeted section located
at the back pews within the church. Parents/guardians are welcome to sit with their
young ones in this area should they feel more comfortable.
On the first and third Sundays of the month the ‘Little Shepherds’ Sunday School
is held during the Sung Mass in the Church Hall . All children are welcome to attend
(please follow the links to Parish News or see bottom right on the Home page).
In addition to a regular weekly pattern of services, an additional Mass and service
is celebrated on the major feasts and festivals of the church’s year.
Vestments are worn during all services and incense is used at our Sung Masses. We
end our Sung Mass each Sunday with the Angelus, from Easter Day until Pentecost the
Regina Coeli. Both are usually sung.
Baptisms take place during the 10 am Mass on a Sunday. St Richard’s also holds weddings
and funerals in Church.
Please Note: Times and dates of this weeks Services can be found on the Homepage.
